This is our program for the series of social events, photographic outings and visits planned for society members for the year.
Some of these are provisional so please check on the right hand text box for up to date info.
The Outings Programme for this year is underdevelopment with an aim of arranging a monthly visit of photographic interest to all members, from the more advanced photographers to those who are at the start of their photographic journey. As with all club activities the success depends on two things: the willingness of members to arrange a visit, and just as important, the interest of members in supporting the activities.
One of the benefits of group outings is the opportunity to get know other members and share knowledge and experiences
Hopefully some of the activities from last year can be repeated, and I will be approaching previous ‘leaders’ to see if they are prepared to lead an outing (or 2?) this year. It would be good to organise an Astrophotography visit, possibly around March or April time when darkness falls relatively early.
Some initial thoughts for the calendar are:
January/February: Snowdrops with possibilities of visits to National Trust properties such as Dudmaston or further afield at Attingham Park on the outskirts of Shrewsbury.
March/April: Daffodils; Springtime Canal Walk; Astrophotography
May: Bluebells
